iOS 9.0 beta 2 Bug Fixes and Changes

Contact suggestion now only shows first name of your contact, not full name.
This could be a pain for Chinese user.

Siri suggestions is now suggesting individual emails.

In mute Siri only make a vibration, very better than classic sound.
Now search works with custom keyboard but little microphone only showed whit classic keyboard

And if Apple could improve the poor index algorithm, I would love Apple once again.

Listary index speed is just amazing. Windows one is fine, though.
 
Just noticed this, the new search view is now available in landscape with iPhone 6 Plus. Don't think this was available in beta 1? Although, Siri suggesting is no longer showing up.

It's ridiculous that a beta doesn't work correctly? Why didn't you just back it up to a computer for free and waited until it's working again?

I have to disagree. It's not as bad as beta 1 but it's not normal either. Still rapidly drops with minimal usage. I left it sitting here(my iPhone 6) and it dropped 1-2 % doing nothing. There's no way I can really put up with this for another 2 weeks until a fix comes out for it. I plan on using Apple Music when it launches and if their not planning on having it apart of iOS 9 betas right now anyways I'm going to downgrade to 8.4. The battery life is just too annoying for me.

i did back it up to my computer
and i understand its a beta...Just like ever other beta software
I'm just saying I've never had any iCloud deletion problems before with prior betas'
 
Battery life seems so much better already, still at 99% after using for 10 mins. Before that would have been down to 90% or even in the 80s.

and i purchased more storage because i added a new iPad to my iCloud account, so i tried to delete an old back up that wasn't in use.

i do have a few Chinese friends, and their name shows in Siri suggestions. I can only see first name, but not full name.
In general, showing full name of a Chinese contact is better than showing just first name.

iOS 9 is supposed to bring much better international support. They specifically highlighted this use case as well as right-to-left content orientation for Arabic users. Is it related to your setting in Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > Short Name.
 
I'm now seeing batteries as a widget on my iPad but its not actually showing up in widgets. Also I believe in the last beta the icon wasn't green for widgets.

Issues:
  • Music app does not show My Music tab. Release Notes say that but so far it's not true
  • You may see a Black screen when trying to add Google or Yahoo accounts
  • Many people are not seeing OTA updates yet. (Rebooting devise fixes this) Showed up at 1:30 EST
  • Tapping a Mail message, Maps favorites, Note, or Message in search results does not open the app on some devices
  • iPhone 6 on beta 2 cannot update watch to watchOS2. Keeps getting not connected to internet message

Changes:
  • iOS 9 will now ask you if you want it to delete some apps if you don't have enough space to download the update. It will then reinstall the apps it deleted.
  • New Podcasts icon.
  • List view for albums, playlists, etc. in Music is now colored to match the album artwork.
  • CoreAudio Apps (like Garageband etc.) are working now and aren't crashing anymore
  • Podcasts.app layout has been tweaked
  • New buttons to undo/redo text input on iPad keyboard
  • Continuity returns to multitasking view with new design
  • Contacts in left most search page shows contact first name only, rather than full name in previous beta.
