Hello, is anyone else noticing that iOS 9.0 GM wasn't the "Final" release this year?

    Does anyone see any changes?

I've put the ~40Mb update on both my Air 2 and 5S. The iPad feels the same, but the phone feels much different. Animations and performance on multitasking and opening apps feels significantly better. Hopefully the battery life issue on 5S is fixed too!

This might be just my feeling but I think public release is faster for me

My update is wrapping up now.. I hope its better.. I personally thought beta 5 was better than the GM release

I wonder if the GM had debugging code that was #ifdef'ed out for the final release.

    That would explain a speedup!

Possibly compatibility with watch os 1.0.1 since OS2 didn't release today.

42mb update to the GM makes it feel like a night and day difference. The GM was as smooth or slightly better than 8.4.1.

This small update to the GM is great

I thinks that's first to have a difference between GM and final release, isnt it?!

I don't think its the first time.. back in the iOS 4 - iOS 5 days.. We did get multiple GM release candidates.. But this is the first time where the GM release wasn't seeded to developers before public release..

So far.. after playing with it for 30 minutes or so.. This release is pretty solid

Personally, thus far, the GM was more stable and faster on my 6 than this new build. I was one of the few that didn't have a problem with the GM, but I'm not happy so far with this build.

Yep. Just as bad, if not worse, than the GM. And the Settings app still opens up partially scrolled down. It seems iOS 9 was really tailored for the hardware of the 6s/6s+ with older phones as an afterthought.

I'm having massive lag throughout the device that was not present on the GM. Additionally, my phone is running hotter than after installing the GM. I've already had to do 2 hard resets.

Can someone put the phone upside down on the table and see if that shuts the display off?

My 6+ is still doing some heavy indexing and appears to be rebuilding my photo library. For those complaining about responsiveness and performance issues, I would give it some time.
