So I have an IPad on iOS 9 beta 5.i would like to downgrade to iOS 9.0.2 to jailbreak however I definetely want the data from the 9.1 in the new jailbreak.Is it possible to restore that?

Do you mean to say that you want the new features of 9.1 while using jailbroken 9.0.2? You can install the new 9.1 emojis, but not the news app yet.

Other posters have claimed success in modifying the version information that's in the backup itself to restore a backup to a previous version of iOS (change it to the desired target version). You'll need to search for it. I'm not the search police, I simply don't have a link. 🙂

There's no need for any of that. Just use option or shift + update in iTunes instead of restoring. I did that and it works fine.

Awesome thanks I'll be getting it for sure. Not that I've jailbroken my 6s yet, need to wait for pangu to release a Mac jb tool. In the meantime I better downgrade back to 9.0.2 before the window closes!
