iOS 9.1 Performance and Battery Thread!

Are you using a 6s or 6s Plus? 3D Touch menus are awfully slow on the 6s Plus.

I'm seeing lag on 3D Touch shortcuts as well on my 6S Plus. I'm hoping it's just the indexing?

Happy with iOS 9.1 on my Air 2 and 6S Plus. There was some lag and stuttering in PB 5 on my Air 2 but that's seemingly disappeared.

I hope so as well. They were a little slow on 9.0.2, but they're much slower here.

I highly doubt indexing is the root cause of the laggy/slow 3D touch animation. There's no reason why the 6S and 6S Plus can't handle the animation when the A9 and it's GPU are a beast of a combination! Apple needs to get their **** together!

Much smoother scrolling after update. It was fast on 9.0.2 so I haven't noticed any changes and it's too soon to determine its effect on battery life. I'm on a 6.

That's nice, but we shouldn't have the need to DFU restore with every release to get the most of it.
The first times i was cool about it, but then it started to suck.

Generally not much of a difference, but for some the might have some issues it might be worth a try.

iTunes or OTA is a matter of preference.

I upgraded by way of iTunes....so far I see no difference from 9.0.2 . Time will tell

6s plus, mini2 and 6 plus all smooth and operating perfectly. No issues or lag whatsoever

Performance is improved on my iPhone 6. There seems to be less of the delay when opening an app.

I'll just hitchhike on your post if you don't mind! I agree, my iPhone 6 128gig has less lag on 9.1
and the calendar bug seems gone..it had a few other things but Its running great now!
Battery life..not sure just installed 9.1 a couple of hours ago.

Android is a lagfest... Unoptimizable OS at its worst.

Agreed, for the processor and 4GB of LPDDR4 ram it has it lags like hell. It basically goes to show you that Android as a whole is just unpolished and just not optimized at all. Besides that the Note 5 is one of the most beautiful phones ever made, it definitely has the best screen we've ever seen on a smartphone.

Still laggy and buggy. Notifications genre is now causing my iPhone to go to a completely black screen, wish I have to hard restart to get out of. Woo for 'stable' software.

in iPad mini 2, app switcher is still very laggy. I think its worse than 9.0.2.
