Continuing off of the previous beta threads here is beta 2 bug fixes and changes!

As always, be sure to report any and all bugs to bugreport.apple.com (a developer account is not required to do this)

Previous threads:
Beta 1

Build: 13C5060d

Changes:

  • It's now possible to dismiss the Safari View Controller with an edge swipe.
  • Un-paring and re-pairing the Apple Watch will no longer cause the Stocks glance to go missing.
  • Syncing Music to the Apple Watch has been fixed.
  • An issue impacting audio quality when playing audio over USB in some car stereos has been fixed.
  • A bug with iCloud Keychain has been fixed, so users should no longer see "Could Not Set Up iCloud Keychain" errors.
  • Videos with 'folw' track associations will no longer fail to play on 32-bit devices.
  • Restriction settings are now worded correctly.
  • Numbersync service added to phone settings menu for AT&T customers
  • When you have "Reduce Motion" ON the App Switcher has a flat animation.
  • When you have "Reduce Motion" OFF the App Switcher has an angled/3D effect (the default view in iOS 9)
  • Cryptographic Libraries:
    • Developers will have access to two of the company's advanced security features, including Security Framework and Common Crypto. Security Framework gives developers tools for organising certificates, public and private keys, and trust policies, ensuring that all sensitive information is stored privately in a "secure repository for sensitive user data." Common Crypto library provides additional support for symmetric encryption, hash-based message authentication codes, and digests.
  • Contacts search bug with groups fixed. (Apple said it was in B1 but wasnt)
Issues:
  • Messages – animation missing when tapping on Edit and then Cancel (the messages will just pop back).
  • If an iPhone in landscape mode (sleep/wake button facing upwards) with keyboad on screen is turned for 180 degrees to alternative landscape mode, keyboard rotating animation executes in an oposite direction than other UI elements.
  • Text messages on AT&T seem to not work after activating NumberSync. (Edit: having AT&T resend activation codes/profile to the phone seems to resolve the issue.) (Edit 2: resending activation not always working) (edit 3: disabling WiFi Calling fixes things)
  • Dark keyboard flashes when changing capitalization.
  • Stuttering present in Messages list view, Control Center, when swiping down to activate Spotlight (iPhone 6).
  • Music – ability to swipe between Library/Playlists and All Apple Music/My Music is missing.
  • App Switcher – if a card that is blurred in the background is tapped, only a portion of it appears on the screen before the whole app comes to the foreground.
  • Music- Music app freezes after trying to skip a song after listening to a few. Force close required. (iPhone 5s, iPhone 6s Plus)
  • If you have "Back to App" on the left top corner and then slide CC and turn off Do Not Disturb the "Back to" option goes away. And goes back to showing the carrier. But once you slide away CC it shows "Back to" option.

For those of you with a 6S Plus, is 3D touch improved at all from Beta 1? Beta 1 was a huge improvement over 9.1 but still lagged behind the smaller 6S, I hope they've improved it some more to the point where there is no difference!

I really don't want to upgrade back to betas, but iOS 9.1 has destroyed battery life on both my iPhone 6s and iPad Air 2. If 9.2 beta 2 improves battery life, I might have to go back to betas.

With iOS 9.0/.0.1/.0.2 when for example I'm watching a video on Youtube in landscape mode, and someone text me on whatsapp, if I have the rotation locked and I open whatsapp, the screen remain in landscape mode and I have to restart the app.
In iOS 9.1 is this bug (If it's a bug) fix?

Fixed in iOS 9.2b2.

With Reduce Motion enabled, momentum scrolling (or whatever it's called) not working on app switcher. Making app switcher extremely slow and painful experience. Not lag or stutter but just slow.

Time to turn off Reduce Motion till next beta...

On 6S Plus iOS 9.2b2

This is still a thing in safari o_O

Yeah I hate it, no idea why they went that route with Reduce Motion turned on. Makes it near impossible to use the app switcher, it's slow as hell!

6+ and Air 2 running sweet here on b2. This is the best my 6+ has ever run. Very pleased!

Reduce Motion disabled make me dizzy. Look like I have to endure that ****** app switcher for now and hope it's just a bug and not a new feature...

The iOS 9.2 Beta 1 and Beta 2 are causing problems with my iPod interface in my car. I have a USASPEC iPod Interface in my 2004 Acura TSX. I haven't had any issues with it until 9.2 Beta 1 where it wouldn't play audio for a while. Basically the USASPEC is emulating a CD Changer and I think something about 9.2 is messing it up. After I restarted the phone and the car it eventually started working again until today (before Beta 2) where it stopped working again. I had hoped that Beta 2 would fix it but it did not. I will submit a bug report to Apple. Just curious if anyone else that has an iPod interface in their car has had this issue?

I liked this beta so far, my 6+ had frame drops in app switcher in b1 but now its buttery smooth. Spotlight seems to be better but still a little laggy, nothing annoying though. as for battery life I pulled out of the plug yesterday and slept with %100 and woke up with %100 now its almost 9.5 hours since last full charge and 2 hrs 30 mins of usage at %79. That stats are a little better than previous betas.

Not for me

Try this: Lock the screen rotation from Control Centre, open Message app, then open YouTube and play a video in fullscreen. While playing the video, double press the home button to open app switcher and from there select Message. How does Message app open? For me it is finally in portrait mode as it used to be in iOS 8. It wasn't the case on iOS 9 until 9.2b2.

What is your device? I'm on iPhone 6. Maybe it have not been fixed for some devices and should be reported.
