iOS 9.3 Beta 2 Bug fixes, Changes and Performance Improvements

As beta testers. We can inly do our part by bringing it to their attention and discussing it online.
If it gets fixed, then good for everyone, if not, then the battle continues!
Btw I have no lag issues on any of the betas but I have to say that 9.3 beta 2 feels less refined than beta 1. Needs a little more polishing!

Sure, reporting it and checking on it all is certainly all good and definitely worthwhile. Exaggerating, using absolutes and extremes, turning pretty much any discussion to the same worn out topic, and all of that, that's somewhat different and fairly unnecessary and essentially not productive.

You can always ignore them. Some people are more sensitive to lag than others.
I don't get why members try to police comments from other members especially with this particular lag/stutter issue!

Bingo. Same thing every beta release and every thread about OSes crapped up by the same handful of people saying the same thing about notification center or control center; hence the parroting/broken record aspect.

And then it's re-parroted when the next beta comes and different stuff is fixed and some broken. A vicious, and frankly annoying, cycle.

We cannot fix it bottom line, only Apple can. So saying it x times a day isn't fixing a single thing. If people aren't seeing it on their devices they arent going to make a report, end of story. Im not going to make a report to Apple about CC lag I have none of; that makes zero sense.

Or I can express my observations, experiences, and comments about it all just as well.
 
For some reason my PlayStation messages app stopped working. It wouldn't load new messages and I couldn't send messages. I tried deleting and reinstalling, didn't work... I use it daily so I went back to 9.2.1 for now and WOW the difference in lag/stutter is huge.

The stuttering has been occurring in the public releases too, this is a "Wow this still isn't fixed" not a "THIS BETA SUCKZZZ ITS ALL FREAKING BROKEN"

We know we are running beta software believe it or not. We know the issues that will come with that. We are commenting on the lack of changes. Well actually there were good changes in beta 1 but beta 2 broke it again, we were expressing disappointment toward that and putting forth hopes it will be fixed again discussing what the new issues are. I don't get why this argument had to be brought up again when it was peacefully stopped a few pages back and we all talked out our annoyances with each other PEACEFULLY.

I swear you people are just getting salty because you aren't able to talk about *your* issues, rather only other people's issues that you and others can't see/care about. If the thread is all about lag and stutter and you don't care to hear it, for the love of God, unsubscribe. If this argument goes on much longer I will do the same.

I thought the issue with Bluetooth connectivity with my Garmin Vivosmart had been resolved but no. The lack of constant vibration from connects and disconnects has only stopped because they're not connecting but once or twice per day and immediately disconnecting again.

Is anybody aware of anything else that's changed in regards to Bluetooth? I know there was an issue with the sleep button disconnecting Bluetooth calls but I think I recall seeing that it was fixed in beta 2.
 
Documents and data is using up an insane amount of data on my iPhone 6 Plus. iCloud Drive is set to not use cellular data so I don't know what's causing it. Only having this issue with this beta 2.

These people should bug Apple with as many bug reports as much as they do us here instead of people who can do notta about it.

I want to discuss the topic, the beta and the what's new or true bug aspects, not the aspects of lag and stutter under 60fps analyzation and Youtube video debates by a few OCD people who will never ever be happy even if the iPhone farted rainbows and ran at 100fps they'd find something to broken record on about. It's simply their nature.

If you ever take a look at the Apple support communities its full of lag threads as well.Its a major issue which needs fixing
 
Every single thread is hijacked to talk about lag. There's a thread created specifically for things like that, use it and don't spam this crap here. This thread is for people who want to see changes in this beta.

Finally took the risk and installed 9.3b2 on my 5S.

It's so much different from my first attempt at iOS9 initial release.

This is coming from a huge skeptic and someone very sensitive to FPS. I have also updated from iOS8.4.1, so it's a very good comparison for me, and to be honest it seems as fast (some apps actually feel faster to open, like the camera seems to open and be active instantly).

CC has no lag, except on the screen where the clock is located it seems a tiny bit jittery (then again, iOS8.4.1 had some CC jitter), and nor does the NC.

Very happy - only bug I found is if I have notifications on the lock screen, unlocking causes this weird slide up animation and the clock doesn't appear immediately - I don't really see the point in this, but it sort of makes sense since the notifications slide out of view...

Also, having the iTunes Store hidden via Restrictions hides the App Store settings from the main settings menu completely (this didn't happen before, and it was nice to be able to hide the iTunes Store...).

Very happy so far - I am sure 9.3 final will be even better, and I'm glad given I really want the F.Lux feature.

I can also confirm - hiding the Clock app into a folder solves CC and NC lag on the page the Clock app is located, unlock stutter, as well as swiping lag between home screens, and app switcher lag (to some extent). So yeah.... screw the animated Clock app!

iPad Air 2: With the favourites bar turned on in Safari, the "..." icon, indicating more shortcuts that can be shown in the width of the screen, is overlapping other shortcuts, making it impossible to select.

Bug reported.

Beta 2 seems just as smooth as beta 1 on my Air 2. Much fewer instances of frame drops than on 9.2.1 and earlier builds.

Looking forward to the improvements that 9.4 hopefully brings 🙂
 
Been using both versions of the public beta on my 6S+ since they've been available. Zero problems with the first one. With the second beta I noticed some issues with Bluetooth in my Subaru yesterday. The audio kept cutting in and out. Never happened before.

Is there anything to show that Apple wasn't aware of these types of issues and hasn't been working on them to address them regardless of any complaints (let alone repetitive ones on some online forum site that isn't part of Apple)? And there you go. LOL indeed.

Of course they werent aware.If they were CC should have been smooth right from the time 9.0 was out.It was thanks to us who kept piling on feedback in the feedback app which resulted in them fixing it.At least half of my feedback app is reporting on the various instances of CC stutter on iOS.Next turn is that if terrible lag of CC in Siri.Now don't say Apple was aware of it as they weren't until we told them

Again, there's something to show they weren't aware of this? Just because they didn't have it perfectly smooth from the beginning or that it's been taking them time to get it addressed doesn't mean they weren't aware of it. There's nothing to actually back up what you are saying aside from simple plausibility of the statements, which in no way discounts the plausibility of other possibilities and likely probabilities.

It's all rather simple logic that is in play, yet it seems even with this we are back to the same types of exaggerations and absolutes. In any case, it doesn't seem to be worthwhile going around the same simple circles that essentially speak for themselves, especially as they take away from the actual discussion of the thread.

Can anyone test these bugs to see if they exist on other devices -

Opening the Messages app causes the battery icon in the top right corner to change colour slightly, before changing back.

In the App Switcher if you tap a blurred out app that is to your far left it will come into view, become blurred briefly, then come back into focus. You can easily do this by scrolling as far right as you can in the app switcher, which causes the immediate app to the left become blurred

Edit: Mine is a 5S btw.
