Will Apple release iOS 9.3 to developers this week?
Hopefully it will.Because my iPhone 6 and Air 2 still lag on 9.2
I guess today or tommorow, Most likely tuesday
I hope soon because it still lags like ****
I'm patiently waiting on an 9.2 jailbreak from Taig or Pangu.
What's so laggy for you guys? I was one of those hyper critical ios9 lag people too coming from 8.4.1. But iOS 9.2 is pretty good. The biggest problem in my eyes for overall usability/fluidity has been the cut off of user input during homescreen animations. Otherwise everything else feels more or less the same as 8.4.1 now. I think maybe the weather app still loads a fraction of a second slower than 8.4.1 but everything else feels about the same for app load times. What is dramatically improved for me has been safari. It's much faster and more stable with keeping tabs in memory. Mind you I'm on a regular iPhone 6. Apps in general stay in the limited memory better than they did than iOS 8.4.1 and I used that firmware a long time. If they would just allow user input during home screen animations again I'd be fully happy. I don't care if my control center drops a few frames when it gets almost open. Or if spotlight search jitters the first time you activate it. I don't use it anyway and have it turned off to speed up the device anyway. So what is dramatically lagging so bad for you guys on 9.2?! This overall feels like the best all around iOS I've used besides a few minor gripes.
It's been making my battery usage stat same as my standby stat ever since 9.2.
I've tried everything except setting up as new, no luck. It comes back once in a while, and I have to reboot phone + charge back up to 100% for it to go away.
I've seen a few other people complaining about the same bug I'm seeing with 9.2.
I'm hoping 9.3 will fix it because I can't lose my data so I can't set it up as new. 9.2 has been good to my 6 Plus except for this. Everything is way smoother and I'm happy about that. It just sucks constantly checking my battery stat. My phone never had this problem before 9.2 and I didn't download anything new. I've no clue what's causing the problem.
probably in January, after the holiday break.
Spot on. Same experience with my devices, especially since 9.2. I hardly got any stutter anymore and if I do they are now about as frequent as with iOS 8.4.1 or 7.
The animation stuff tho is so annoying, been complaining about it since the beta.
It started in 7 and got addressed in 8 and than returned in 9, arghhh.
I assume the reason they did it is because with 8 you could sometimes make things glitch out or behave weirdly, especially when doing a pinch to close gesture on iPads and than immediately start scrolling the home screen.
Still sucks tho because that delay on iPads is pretty annoying.
I also think that they could speed up the animations again. Not talking about how 8 might load an app faster, I mean the pure animation that happens when an app is opened or closed. It's nowhere near as slow as with 7.0 but I feel it could be a fraction faster without loosing the visual effect of it. I think that is a big factor in why iOS doesn't feel quite as responsive, especially coupled with the animation having priority.
Can't see it being this side of the new year tbh. If anything my bets on January.
I would be happy with 9.2.1. I'm still in the beta 4 of 9.2. I know It's the same as final, but it feels weird. They did absolutely nothing on those three weeks?
They were working on the next update as they didn't did anything release blocking when it came to the last beta.
I expect so. But the fact that the final release is EXACTLY the same as beta 4 is odd. Maybe I should restore with iTunes to the "final" build, although is the same some people say it feels "better". My rational thinking says that there's no way that's correct but I don't know...
