So how are those of you running iOS 9 on an iPad finding the battery life improvements? I know it is still beta, but just wondering if anyone is seeing a dramatic difference yet on their iPads. In the keynote, it was said that the iPhone was to get around an extra hour of battery life with normal use, so it would be interesting to see how that scales with iPad :)

On my Air 2 the first beta was horrible for battery life. Each one since seems to be about the same as any iOS 8.x release. I haven't really noticed any difference after the first developer beta.

It's not at good on my iPad Air as 8.4 was, but it still gets amazing battery life regardless. I've lost an extra hour or two on mine, but I still get 10-12 hours+ of usage.

Depends what I'm doing, here's two screen shots at around 50% on an air2 on beta 3 and beta 4.

All it's really used for is safari and the odd game but battery life is so far better than iOS 8 (except beta1 and 2 they were a disaster.)

I use my Air 2 in the mornings and quite a bit in the evenings and end the day above 80%. I still charge at night even though I don't have to. I use it on average 3-4 hours per day. So, not too bad if you ask me.

14 hours usage?! What do you keep your brightness at?

I'll have to add that since Beta 1 battery life is much better. I am in a class this week, so I am using it for several hours. Here's the current status:

6 hrs 3 mins of usage
29 hrs 51 mins of standby
58% of the battery over the last 24 hrs was used by PDF Expert as I am using PDF Expert for the Class material, including taking notes in the PDF and highlighting different sections within the PDF.

Hope this helps.

My brightness is on almost the lowest it can get, i don't like it bright and you get better battery life from this. Also i have auto-brightness on.

Nice! I try to keep it low but I just can't stand it being so low! Lol. I now have it at 50 percent. Looks good durning the day and isn't too bright at night

My mini 2 is the same as iOS 8, pretty bad. But I think that's due to the fact that I mostly play games and watch video on my iPad, both are battery killers. 6-8 hours is standard for me, before and after iOS 9.

How do you know whether Apple has seen it or not? Are you using something different than the Feedback Assistant? Should I be using something other than the Feedback Assistant? I'm running the public beta, and I don't have a developer account so I can't use bugreport.apple.com.

Non devs can use bugreport.apple.com too

You won't know if Apple has seen it unless they respond, but as long as you send a bug report, it'll be seen eventually.

Logging in with my Apple ID does not work there. After plugging in my credentials and tapping "Login", there simply is a loading bar at the top for half a second, it shoots across the page and nothing happens when it finishes. Yes, this is a valid Apple ID that I use for iCloud, iMessage, FaceTime, etc. And all over the page it says stuff about developer accounts. The very bottom says ":apple: Developer" and the third bullet down for help says "Request assistance with logging in to your Developer Account."
