iOS 9 and Watch os 1.0.1

Does Watch OS 1.0.1 only work with iOS 8? I had the above software versions and cannot pair my watch to the phone. Any ideas?
 
There's already a post about this. 1.0.1 does not work with b2
 
There is a lot of report of it not working on the apple boards.
 
It works perfectly!!! Just try to pair it manually, and the first couple of tries will fail, but after 2-3 tries it will paired. I am with iOS 9b2 and aw os 1.0.1 and is absolutely perfect.
 
I have tried both pairing methods numerous times and it gets hung up and tries to restart the process
 
Anyone with the issue find a fix that doesn't involve resetting the whole phone?
 
Ohhh you just reset settings? I misread. I thought I had to restore. That's not too bad. Thanks!
 
I received my AW after upgrading to iOS 9 beta2. Automatic pairing worked fine but took like 5-10 seconds. AW had and still has 1.0.1.

Only issue I have noticed is that Godville AW app doesn't work properly. Which is of course a huge issue. ;)

Got my Apple watch today finally and faced this issue with pairing. after reading online i did the same "reset all settings" but wow its not worth it imo lol i now have push notifications screwed on several apps with no options to enabled; i think it will have to delete and redownload but at that point i think its best to downgrade to iOS 8 and enjoy apple music .
