I have found a small thing with the new app switching interface in iOS 9 that is actually effecting my productivity. In iOS 8 and earlier, if my phone buzzed because I got an email, I could double tap the home button, slide over and quickly look at the Mail app to see which of my email accounts it was in, without actually clicking into the Mail app. It was good to know if it was something to my work account that I needed to look at or something to another account that would generally not be urgent. However, with the new app switching layout, the right side of the mail app, where the numbers are, is covered by whatever app is next to it. This could be solved by simply having the apps layer over each other in the opposite direction, but it's really bugging me. I've found that I can slide my finger very slowly and find a small spot where I can see the numbers, but it's nowhere near as convenient. Am I the only one who used this feature in this way?
