Where is it?
It's only been a week. Following the typical two week pattern, the earliest you'll see it is next week.
Aaaaugh. Mods, here's another "where's my new beta" thread to lock down!!!!!
OK, I'm better now. Thanks, mods, in advance!
I am afraid, unless being told specifically, such thread would only pop up one after another before beta 4 really goes live.
It was released yesterday under the code-name 'ios8.4.1` - they probably assumed developers were already on ios9 wouldn't take the time to actually look at it. I must say, it's FREAKING AMAZING!!! Almost double battery life and everything is running smooth as butter.
So far it seems to be right here: http://forums.macrumors.com/threads/ios-9-beta-4-when.1898983/
Hmph. There should be a forum rule against these kind of threads.
First I think we could try to persuade members not sending such typically meaningless threads, then if it doesn't work really well, go ahead to set a rule.
Generally speaking, I don't mind such posts, and many members are eager to receive next beta as soon as possible, which is often not so fast. If Apple releases their beta software in a very fixed time pattern, then no one would ask for it.
The majority of the time it's a two week pattern between builds. Super rare it's been one week and not till later builds in the beta cycle can you see three week as GM gets closer. (Not set in stone but typically works out this way.)
Can we it make these threads unless a majority of the forum members think it's close or there is a solid rumor behind it? Thank you.
Like this coming Monday or Tuesday? (hint hint)
But according to the iOS Wikipedia page, the release interval is not so solid if it is counted from iOS 1 to iOS 8.
A lot of replies but still no one has answered the question: where is beta 4?
You can't exactly count all the way back to iOS 1. iOS 8 betas are a far more accurate gauge to look at. Since it's how they've settled in on how to handle betas (especially since the introduction of public beta on top the dev preview.)
That's all I have to say about that.
Probably Tuesday, July 21. However it could be later. Apple isnt always predictable.
I think you must have mistaken the iOS 8.4.1 beta as the beta for iOS 9 beta 4.

Being prepared for its (eventual) release at Apple.
Talk about impatient... Beta 3 just came out last week for christ sake.
It has been a single week since PB1 launched. Have patience.
In fact beta 4 is still in Apple Lab. No one in here could get this software.
Based on their regular (yet varying) 2-week schedule, I think we could pin a thread "Predicted Beta Release Dates" with a first post that will be maintained and adjusted according to the true release dates of the betas.
So say iOS 9 beta 3 is not released yet, and we pin a post saying "iOS 9 beta 3 is expected to release in July 8th", and when iOS 9 beta 3 is released, say July 10th, we update the thread saying "iOS 9 beta 3 goes live in July 10th", and add something new after this notes.
Here is a full post sample just in case you feel confused about my idea.
Current state: iOS 9 beta 3 is still not available.
Post: iOS 9 beta 3 is expected to release in July 8th.
iOS 9 beta 2 has been released in June 27th.
Then after a few days,
Current state: iOS 9 beta 3 is released.
Post update: iOS 9 beta 4 is expected to release in July 24th.
iOS 9 beta 3 is available in July 10th.
Who let this guy in?
Beta 3 is only a week old. As noted by previous release its anywhere from 14-21 days. Hold your horses. It will come in due time
