    HI all

Several of my friends all have the same problem.

Only on iPhone 6 on ios9 and only those with no Apple Pay function setup.

A Simple double click of the home button will bypass the passcode and go straight in to there home screen.

If Apple Pay is setup this just gives the card select screen.

Has anyone else noticed this quite serious problem.

    Cheers.

    tfw no apple pay :(

I don't know, but that does seem like a severe issue that no one else has reported.

I'd like to see how it's done.

You're unlocking the phone when you touch the home button?

No Apple Pay? Or no Touch ID?

If the former, have them try it with non registered fingers with Touch ID.

I can do it with my thumb which isn't programmed for their phone.

In that case, it's just Touch ID recognizing a fingerprint, which technically does bypass the passcode.

You can't bypass the lock screen with just tapping the home button twice. Use a pencil to try it if you claim you can reproduce it. Also, make sure there's even a pin set ;)

Can you do it with the back of a pen or a pencil eraser?

    Do they have TouchID enabled?

I am not actually sure. They all use passcodes all the time so maybe not.

If they use a passcode then it's possible (if not likely) they have the require passcode timing set up for a minute or more after the phone is locked. So if you are trying it in that time period the phone is already unlocked.

Haha, epic fail. This round clearly goes to TouchID.

Based on the replies from the OP that doesn't appear to be the case.

It has to be TouchID since even if the passcode timer is set to 1min, you would still need to swipe to unlock the phone.
Edit: I tried it several times on my iPhone 6, nothing is happening.

I will check this theory tomorrow when I see them again. So far the only sensible theory. Thanks.

This has been annoying me too, a double click with anything (I just used my finger through the material of my t-shirt!) brings up the card screen - although to be fair any attempt at charging NEEDS an authenticated finger...

I don't think its a security flaw to be worried about, but it seems every time I pull the phone out of my pocket it's on the card screen (admittedly I'm usually unlocking the phone with my finger as I take the phone out of my pocket as is my habit from using iOS8 and TouchID...)

EDIT - I don't think I read the post properly LOL, Sorry! I HAVE ApplePay set up

You can easily disable that functionality in Settings.

Thanks! - I'm normally good with going through all of the settings on a new iOS, I decided to leave it until I get the 6S on Friday... ooops!

You can bypass the passcode by entering a wrong one four times. Then on the fifth time enter 3 or 5 numbers (depending on your passcode length. All but one). Enter the last digit while simultaneously activating Siri by holding the home button. You can now ask her what time it is and end up getting into contacts and photos.

Somehow I'm guessing that either that doesn't work or there's something else there explaining the unlock if it actually does happen.

So why was the phone already unlocked at the end when he went on to demonstrate it again? Seems like perhaps his activation of Siri might have been a TouchID activation that unlocked the phone?
