Agreed, the 6+ at least has the screen size for the same multitouch gestures of the iPad. I would love to see this on the phone.

Though if you want to, you can enable Assistive touch to avoid physically pressing the home button. Go to settings > general > accessibility > AssistiveTouch and turn it on.

I sometimes use the AssistiveTouch but I don't like the white dot that is always on the display. But maybe I should just get used to that. (Home button works fine though)

- Up Next in Music app (the Remote app already has it)
- "Clear All" in Notification Center
- Ability to put icons wherever you want
- NFC SDK (we'll see this as Apple waited a year to release the SDK for Touch ID)
- Speed and of course, bug fixes!!

Dark mode increases contrast against text and objects in the foreground and it's easier on the eyes at least for me.

As long that it is an option, I would encourage Apple to make the dark mode.
But I think I keep it light. ;)

I want my smoothness back damn it.

Like it or not, iOS 8 isn't as smooth as iOS used to be.

"Project Butter" for iOS please. Rotating to landscape mode still stutters in some places, as well as the weather expanding/contracting animations. And for goodness sake, please let us delete apps that we don't use like Podcast, Tips (really?), Newsstand, and etc. Leave them as optional downloads (like on the App Store) and I'll be happy.

Smooth scrolling on the iPhone 5 on mail and safari is gone for me since iOS 7. Did a fresh install and no backup today. Still the same. (now on iOS 8 ).

I hope I get that back too.

1. Exact same features as iOS 8 with nothing extra added.
2. Trimming the firmware size.
3. Fix the lag and bring back stability and fix bugs.

I am easily pleased.

  • Siri API access!
  • Better text to speech in iBooks. I'd love to be able to press a button in the app or ask Siri to read me a book in iBooks. I already have the phone read them to me by toggling voice over and swiping down with two fingers. Wish it were more intuitive though.
  • NFC API access.
  • Customisable Control Centre.
  • Split screen app support on iPad.
  • Dark mode would be nice.

  • All-day events in the notification centre (also on OSX)
  • Resize icons
  • More icons per row/column
  • More icons in the dock
  • Keychain app (or ability to view wifi passwords)
  • Keyboard shortcuts to actually sync properly
  • Speed improvements

The Siri API i missed that one in my list very good idea i could see devs doing massive things with this. If they hurry they can beat google to the punch.

Invert colors in accessibility is dark mode.

Umm, are you crazy? Invert Colors ≠ Dark Mode AT ALL.

Dark Mode on OS X:

Invert Colors on OS X:

Dark Mode you can use all the time, all day without problems. Invert colors is not a Dark Mode replacement, it's made for visually impaired users.

I'm just looking for more open iCloud Drive access and a better email attachment system.

My other two wants (third party keyboards and ability to opt out of group texts) were taken care of in iOS 8.

I'm also looking for some iPad specific features - though I couldn't begin to tell you what they might be. I'm wanting Apple to wow me here. I think the iPad is a great tool and I love developers put out iPad-specific apps to help you do more with it, but I still feel more can be done.

I'm also waiting for decent controller options to be released.....with Metal and the power of the new Air 2, it just BEGS for a good controller.

• 3-way FaceTime

• Optimization!

• RAW images allowed to be taken.

• Customizable color chat bubbles maybe?

That's all I can think of

Id like to be able to edit the keyboard dictionary for my iOS devices.

I'd also like real multi tasking and split-screen.

Oh and opened NFC!
