We have got 3 iPad2 home and all running iOs8.x, it is smooth enough, no big complaints but was wondering if worth the pain upgrading to iOs9.x, did anybody upgrade?

I seem to know there is no way to then downgrade shouldn't I like how the 9 performs and as such am not gonna risk, would appreciate your input.

Grazie

I can't speak for iOS8, as I never updated to it. But going from iOS7.1.2 to 9.2 is a big NO. Everything is soooo much slower, with more crashes.

I've got one on 9.2. It's useable but slow.

I think it's time to replace it when the Air 3 comes out.

Don't go to 9 unless you really need to.

My iPad is still usable but slower. Every app takes longer to load for example and animations are jittery.

I'm still on iOS 7 on my iPad 2. It's now up to 14 apps that can't be updated because I refuse to let my iPad be a brick. Wonder how long until I need to buy a new one.

Question, if you are just using your ipad to watch netflix and other streaming media, would it be fine on 9? I really don't use it for anything else at all (not even web browsing really).

I only use it to read ebooks/pdf, playing a few games and some (very little) web browsing, on the latest incarnation of iOs8 it's smooth but not the smoothest, I wonder if they made ioS9 a little more agile, that's it.

Thank you so far for all of your replies
