iOs apps on Intel Macs

I'm reading that ARM based Macs will be able to run iOS apps and Intel apps (via rosetta), but what about iOS apps on Intel Macs?
 
Nope. They said so during the Platform State of the Union. Catalyst will likely be the only option.
