My iPhone X is stating that App Store (Audio) is draining battery life and is only been on screen for a minute yet 44 percent of my iphone battery has been drained by it.

Could this be ads from a game I play doing this or what?

Thank you.

My suspicious to this is probably assuming you have Apple Watch with Music sync? You may need to try to re-sync music as it may have failed and it keeps reattempting to re-sync which could account for the battery drain from App Store. If it doesn’t work, you’ll need to unpair and re-pair the Watch.

I do not.

It’s probably just a weird glitch. Sometimes my battery usage stats are wonky. The other night I watched Hulu for like 15 minutes with the screen at low brightness and it showed that it used 56% of battery. Just check back after a few hours and it should clear itself.

As time goes on it should drop (since this is measurement of usage over time compared to everything else) if it's not actually still using the battery.

I had a lot of apps pending due to waiting on a new card but I got those to go through today. But just wondering why it states audio and only 1 min of usage

It’s glitchy. I played Pokémon go for a good 3 hours today with the sound off and of course it shows Audio for me too. I wouldn’t read too much into the battery stats. The thing has been pretty inconsistent for me on iOS 11 in general every release so far.

Mine has been doing the same thing. My X is not even a month old. But this just started after I upgraded to iOS 11.3.1. Before that my battery life was perfect. Now it shows I have been using my iPhone for the whole time it’s been off the charger, which isn’t true. And it’s the App Store that has been draining it.

Same issue on my daughter’s iPhone 8. Specifically the App Store audio drain.

I guess my first question is what would show up as App Store audio? On my 8 plus the App Store barely uses any power.

I had a similar issue with my 7 on iOS 10.x feeling very hot constantly, even when I wasn't doing anything on it. Got to the point where I would get so used to it and until I would hold someone else's phone and realize it wasn't normal. Eventually I restored it and set up as new. If you're on the 11.4 beta, it's not as much of a pain now with Messages in iCloud.

I restored already, I can see quite a few people are having issues with Spotify Battery drain and heat right now what temp would you say is normal for the phone mine usually hits 90 when using safari to browse sites. for 20-30 min.
