Hi guys, Can anyone shed any light on this...(sorry if the pics are too big)

· Create an Exchange appointment on iPhone using Calendar app (eg 15:30 for one hour) and ensuring correct time zone used

o Shows correct time and date with no time zone time
o Time zone shows correctly (London)
o On iPad event shows correctly in Calendar view but has additional time zone details as 16:30 (CEST)
o Go to edit event on iPad and it shows start time as 16:30 (CEST) and end time as 17:30 (CEST) Berlin

· Edit the event on the device it was NOT originally created on and also correct time zone, it will show correctly on this device but then have the CEST time zone issue on the other device. Rinse and repeat.

My Exchange mailbox is hosted by fasthosts and the server location is actually Berlin. In my Exchange settings with fasthosts I have ensured the time zone is correct. This issue has affected me since the release of iOS 8 and I think its similar to the GMT bug of a few months ago.

I have seen this mentioned by a few other people on other sites but no resolution apart from use a different calendar app – not an acceptable solution for me.

It seems like iOS calendar app is ignoring my time zone settings, regardless of whether time zone override is set or now, and using the local server time.

The pictures show iPhone screenshots of which the event was created on iPad. I have deleted, re-added etc the accounts on all devices.

Any help please? TIA

Hi. Doesn't make any difference....it will mess up on the other iDevice.

Edit: unless I've misread what you meant?

When you create an event leave it in the time zone in which it was created. If you are in NY and arranging a meeting with a colleague in CA (3 hour time difference) and you agree on 3:00 pm, and then you get on a plane and fly to CA...you want the meeting to still show as 3:00 pm, not as noon.

I am in the UK so all my events are in the same time zone. The issue is that iOS 8 and 9 keep taking the time zone of the hosting exchange server...in my case it's in Berlin..and adding it to the other iDevice as per my pics and notes above. This problem did not exist pre iOS 8.

I had the same problem and it is very frustrating. I switched to Fantastical 2 and everything is fine. Shame to have to buy another app, but in my case it was the best choice to fix the problem.
