    Hi all,

I have discovered the invite will send if there is no extra information. For example. If you add an address to that field, invite won't send. If I add special information to the notes section, invite won't send. Anyone else able to replicate this issue?

I wonder if it's got to do with all the spam invites that have been going out?

it works for me and my wife. Both using yahoo addresses. I just go to the calendar and choose which one I want. it this case I pick the one that says shared with my wife.

Hmm...this is a good theory. The invites only fail when there is info in the address or notes section.

Is anyone else having this calendar invite problem?

Again, if we add the address, or any information to the notes field, the invite will not be received. However, if it is just a basic calendar entry with a title, date and time, then it seems to work.

If we update the invite after the fact with address or notes, the recipient does not receive the update.

I recently discovered I had this issue. I volunteer for a non-profite charity and had set up meetings with several (dozens) of new clients and also a co-worker for several different meetings during the month of Jan 2017. I sent invites to each client and my co-worker. I sat there fat dumb and happy thinking they all got the invites as I got not bounced emails nor error messages. It was't until a week later that I learned that NONE of the invites went out. So, I started doing some trouble shooting and even called Apple support. Initially, it seems as if I could send an invite as long as I did not include a location or other additional info, however as time went on the problem progressed (why I have no idea) so that now, I can't send ANY invites - even if I include NO additional info such as notes or location. In other words, my Calendar is completely useless to me for setting up important meetings.

I have been in contact with Apple Care and even got sent to a senior tech, who has since sent this to the engineers. I read on a different forum that this is a KNOWN BUG that Apple is working on. In my humble opinion, if Apple is aware of this bug they should let ALL iCloud users know about it. This is not a trivial bug. Imagine someone setting up a meeting where life or death is involved or some meeting where a huge amount of money os involved? This bug could have very real and very severe consequences. It is unacceptable that Apple did not tell me of this if it is a known bug. They could be setting themselves up for HUGE lawsuit if this bug causes some serious consequences, and they knew about it.

I realize this is a bit old and sorry I didn't get back sooner to reply, but this problem has been resolved. Turned out is was in fact an issue with the iCloud servers. After many evenings on the line with their senior tech support and sending all kinds of log files, etc., to Apple, the engineers finally fixed it. Don't ask be what the exact problem was - they didn't tell me. But it is working like it should now. This was an issue that would have been affecting many people, not just me. But it seems they have resolved it.

See my reply to TRICKorDEVICE above - It seems Apple engineers found an issue with the iCloud servers and thay have fixed it (at least of me an several friends who were having the same issue).

Thanks for the follow up. After speaking with tech-support they did something on their backend and it's working for us now too.
