It doesn't look like safari, email, etc handoff is working at all between iOS devices. This works for ios to OS X Yosemite.
Phone calls from and too ipad work
Web pages and other stuff from ios to yosemite works
Sms / mms does not work, this is stated in release notes

No matter how I try if I browse or send an email on my iPhone 5 no handoff icon shows up on iPad Air. Or visa versa. Both are on the same wifi network with bluetooth on. I never see an icon on the lock screen. I can't see any handoff icons on any of my iOS devices. Only seems to work one way from iOS to yosemite.

Except phone calls

I got Safari to work once. Using an iPhone 5S and Retina Mini. I had my Air by me, too and while the Safari page showed on my Mini, it didn't show on the Air. I did toggle Handoff to "off" then "on" again, and that seemed to help once.

5s/Air here

...seems to work very reliably, once I realised Bluetooth needed to be turned on.

So, before even getting handoff to work, is anyone have issues bluetooth in general?

iPad Air - rMBP = connection fine
iPhone 5 - rMBP = mac is unsupported device

confused? =(

I haven't gotten it to work yet, mostly because i don't know how!

What is the process involved in using it?

I have an iPad air and 5S

Bluetooth on both devices. Wifi on. Signed in with same icloud account.

Settings -> General -> Handoff : enable

Settings -> FaceTime -> iPhone Cellular Calls : enable

might need to restart both devices before it starts working.

Does handoff need the devices connected to the same wifi network and have Bluetooth on?

My iPhone 5s and iPad Air don't seem to be seeing each other - both signed in same iCloud but not on wifi. Was sure on one of the betas I used it without wifi.

For me everything is working except sms (not iMessage) and calls to my phone (5s) when answer from iPad (4th gen retina) they are dropped, also cannot call from iPad. I'm getting msg call using iPhone failed...

Anyone face the same?

no bluetooth needed. just on same wifi. I just had to power off/on both iPad and iPhone to get it all up and going.

5C & Ipad 4 not working at all.

EDIT - Could be my router, I have terrible issues with Homesharing, my Apple TV is fine but my Ipad and Iphone just don't work.

Not working for me either. iPad Air and iPhone 5S on same wifi, same icloud account and handoff turned on.

I thought the sole point of Handoff was that it used the new version Bluetooth LE, that was apparently the reason that older devices couldn't use it.

So is it the fact that we need Bluetooth on and connected to the same WiFi network or just have WiFi turned on?

It just started working by its self.

I have Bluetooth on both (5s and iPad Air) wifi is on both of them but one is connected to the network the other not.

For me it worked kind of fine with iOS 8 on my iPhone 5S (it couldn't hand off writing a mail though). With the iPhone 6 it works one way, iMac => phone, but not the other way around.

Not working here. Actually I got it to work ONCE, then turned off Bluetooth to try, then it never worked again despite re-enabling Bluetooth and toggling Handoff option.

I can occasionally get handoff to work, but never phone calls. If I make a call, I get a failure notice. Never recieves them either. I've got all the right switches on, restarted both devices. Nothing.

anyone get it to work with keynote, numbers, or pages? everything else seems to be working, but not these.

safari handoff works, but it loads the page super slow.
mail app tries to load, but pop up and error instead.

I got MBA, iphone 5c, 6+ and iPad air 2.
Everything works each way except for air 2. It only works iPad to Mac. It doesn't work the other way. Tried everything suggested and nothing seems to make it work.
Its so annoying since everything works both ways. Makes me think something is wrong with the air.
