So I was playing around with my phone and the springboard froze for a moment. When it unfroze, on my last springboard page there were two white icons of apps I've never seen before. iOS Dianostics and Field Test. iOS diagnostics just opened a screen asking for a ticket number. Field Test opened a blank list and turned my signal bars into numbers. After I exited field test, the icons were gone however they still show up in spotlight search to run whenever. Anyone else have any experience with this or something similar? I'm using an iPhone 4 on 4.1 jailbroken.

Yes those apps have always been there on iOS, they are hidden app with no icons, you just saw them during a springboard glich

iOS Diagnostics is used by Genius Bar technicians to pull a full diagnostic on your phone. Useful when trying to figure out what's up with a funkified device. Can really only be accessed via Apple Internal tools.

Field test used to give a crap-load of network information (similar to what Signal gives you now via Cydia). Now it just gives you your signal strength in dB. Can be accessed by making a phone call to *3001#12345#*
