And no, it's not possible. Sounds like you'd be better off jail breaking.

You can't do any of that by editing the ipsw. You could just jailbreak, Cydia has all sorts of tweaks to do what you want. You can jailbreak if you're on 7.0.6 or lower.

You cannot do what you have in mind.
Only if you jb it you can edit and alter the way iOS works.
You can't take stuff out of the official .ipsw and then install a modified one with less things on it. Doesn't work like that with the iPhone.

You cannot edit the ipsw. Why are you stuck on that? You'll need to jailbreak.
