After the release of the GM versions I have successfully updated my iPhone, Apple Watch and iPad using the OTA update, however, my iPad Pro has been stuck in Update Requested for more than 12 hours by now. What can I do except waiting? I'm not sure what went wrong but this is the only device that doesn't download the update. Thanks.

I'm having the same issue on my 12.9 iPad Pro. Won't even start downloading the file.

I updated my iPad yesterday. Took a number of tries to get connected, apparently a lot of people decided to update yesterday. Finally got through and it took about 1/2 hour for the whole process.

figured it out. I do not think this was due heavy traffic in my case.
maybe it was happening to me, because I was trying to OTA update directly from 9.3.5 to the GM and skipped the previous betas... (which is not very professional I know)
anyway this is what worked: installed the last beta before the GM with iTunes (tried to install the GM with iTunes but that has also failed), then the OTA upgrade to GM worked fine.

strangely the direct update worked on my iPhone 6s plus without issues.

Just googled it. Search for iphonewiki, then look for beta firmwares.

Must be a 12.9 issue as i have same problem.

Makes me wonder if there are issues with the 12.9 pro and the gm candidate ?

I've used beta 7, beta 8 and now the GM on my iPP 12.9 and it's been working quite well, actually.

Count me in, my 12" iPad Pro stuck via OTA in the estimation; iPhone 6S+ and watched worked well.

Would there be a way to stop it trying update ? I tried to reboot and remove the profile; but no success. It still try after reboot.

Same issue here. Anyone had any success (other than installing the last pre-GM beta and updating from that)? iPad Air 2, iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone 6s Plus, and both watches all updated fine. Has it spontaneously gone from Update Requested to Downloading for anyone yet?

So i tried downloading the GM restore package and installing / update via iTunes but no luck. Error 14.

Tried then doong a restore instead of update with same result. Its when it goes verifying with Apple.

Then had to do a restore back to 9.3.5 and go through the rigmarole of re-installing all my apps.

Essentially I give up. Wasted too much time trying to get this a few days early. Ill wait for final release. I do suspect Apple may have pulled the GM candidate for iPad Pro 12.9

Some may have got it, but i have found lots of folks on differing fora with the same issue as us and they are all on 12.9 ipad pro's which can not be just coincidence.

When they pull an update thought, it usually just says "Your software is up to date." doesn't it? Did you have xcode downloaded to your computer? that might be causing error 14 if you didn't. you have to have xcode on your mac for the itunes update to work.

Mine just went through via iTunes. 10.0.1. Not sure why it wouldn't work OTA.

Oh!! Will try that again shortly. (A little bit of hope). When I tried it just said 9.3.5 was the latest update in iTunes.

After you have xcode and the iOS 10 ipsw file downloaded, open xcode with iTunes closed. After it installs the necessary components, then connect the iPad and open iTunes.

Option+click where it says "Check for Updates" and it will ask you to select the ipsw file. Then it should download and update.
