I'm not really a big fan of keeper leagues. I think it's more fun and more of a test of gamesmanship if everyone starts the year with a clean slate. This gives everyone the same chance and it all starts with draft prep.

Of course as commissioner I may have to give einmusiker the last draft slot since my wee wittle feelin's are still hurt over the championship. ;)

sour grapes :D

%$@# you Drew Brees, Darren Sproles, and most of all Sean Payton!!! One freakin' play, just one freakin' play!!! :p ;)

I can't really say that as Sean Payton is a super nice guy. I DJ'ed his daughters birthday party at his house several years back when he was an assistant with the Cowboys. He and his family were really down to earth and a lot of fun.

Agreed! That play cost me the championship as well....and the fact that Sean Payton used to be a Cowboys assistant makes me even more mad at him.

Stay in your own league's thread! ;)

You were only in that championship because you robbed me of a division title and placed me squarely in the path of Jaffa destiny. :D

I'd be inclined to agree, a reason being that it's going to disadvantage new teams if the better players have already been reserved by the veterans. Mind, organising the draft based on our previous season's record isn't a bad idea – although as the OSX League Champion I should maybe be arguing against such a notion. ;)

One suggestion though, assuming that next season there's enough support for two Leagues again. How about keeping established teams in the same Leagues, with new ones taking the places left by any drop outs – the thinking being that as seasons are played it should help develop some good rivalries?

I will randomize the draft order each year. If we did allow for keeping players then we would work something out for the draft, but since we don't then it will be random.org deciding the draft order.

I completely agree about keeping the leagues intact with the exception of people who choose to drop out. I like the idea of us keeping established relationships and developing rivalries. We still have some players who were a part of the very first year like rhett7660, creator2456, wvuwhat, and fireshot91. I purposefully made sure all of these players were in the same league this year to keep the continuity from the past.

I applaud your decision, seeing as how going the other way would disadvantage me come draft time. ;)

I suppose we'll reconvene next August, then – it's a shame the break between seasons is so long!

There's always Baseball season. :D
It's always something or other season... :p
