iPod touch iOS Mail is going crazy!

So, I have a Gmail account and I changed the password on the 'Google Accounts' site and now that I entered that password into my account info for the mail on my iPod Touch, it keeps saying that the password is incorrect and won't sync!

Why is it that I can log in on Gmail's site, but can't sync mail on my iPod because it is saying the password is incorrect?

have you tried deleting the gmail account on the ipod and then just setting it up again as a new account.
