Why is it you can't get maps to display like a Garmin GPS, with the direction of travel always facing "up" ?

It never is for me, I wonder why?

What exactly do you mean by this? When you're traveling and using turn by turn directions, you want your "car" on the screen to be moving upwards? That's how mine always is. Post a screenshot?

Not sure how you do it in iOS or if you can. But when I had issues like that within app on Android, I cleared cache/data or in this case is there an app reset.

Or, does iOS allow you to delete the app and reinstall thru Store--:apple:

Haven't had any issues like that, so never had to look in to it--

Will do, be back tomorrow!

iOS maps direction of travel?

I do know what OP means and had it happen several times in Android.

Gotta go too as my Pack is toasting the Bears.

There are 2 ways to do navigation. It's car up or north up. North up is the traditional way and mimics how you would navigate using a analog (paper) map. Car up is more intuitive to the small screen and forward display since it mimics the way you see. I don't think Apple Maps allows North up using navigation.

When looking at a Apple Maps if you hit the Arrow in the bottom left you get North Up, but this is not available in navigation mode.
