I've noticed that whenever I print out iOS Notes in particular (or from MacOS too) the text always prints in light grey.

Other applications print solid black like they should, but Notes are always grey. Has anyone else experienced this or is it just me? If so, does anyone know a fix? I find myself printing notes more often lately, especially when I take my cat to the vet so I can give them my notes and I'm getting tired of them probably thinking my printer is out of toner. :)

I don't have a printer to test with, but in macOS you can change the text color by selecting the text, right clicking the mouse, then selecting Font --> Show Colors. On the Mac, try this and make sure the text was assigned black rather than grey.

What with the huge number of bugs in macOS, iOS, and iPadOS, I wouldn't be surprised if Apple's moron brigade screwed this up too. Or maybe Tim Apple will call it a feature...

Try converting to pdf first before actually printing to paper.
Tap the Print command in the share sheet. When the preview comes up, tap and hold the preview image or two finger swipe open on the preview to get to the secret pdf conversion pop up, then tap it again, then tap the arrow on the top and save (the pdf) to the Files app.
Then print to your paper printer from the Files app the new pdf you just created
