iOS notifications in Mavericks; what happened?

I remember something today and I did a google search to make sure I heard it right when Mavericks was announced:

As of yet, has this feature started to be rolled out? I know I haven't received any iOS notifications on my mac? Has Apple dropped this feature for now?

the first link that writes about quick replies and while your away is here. No iOS sync that i know of. i guess it didn't make the cut.
