I'm looking for a photo scanning app that makes it relatively easy to scan old photo prints (positives). I want deskewing, ideally auto recognition of the photo, and here's the tough one: raw support.

I've used Adobe's scan app a lot for documents, and various others for photos like say Polaroid's. But some need some tough color correction and the PNGs or JPGs they produce are a bit tougher to work with. Camera apps can do raw, but they don't do the very convenient auto cropping and deskewing that the scanning apps do. So I'd prefer something like the scanning apps, but with raw capture. Does something like that exist?

Would the image file actually be Raw if there was in camera processing happening to the original capture? It seems like your request may hopefully be solved with high bit HEIF files but then again until the photo editing software and web browsers support HEIF I think we are out of luck for the time being.

Maybe you could create a repeatable setup with an old copy stand, create an action in your image-editor to batch process files.

The old images undoubtedly had some processing in that the film was developed and printed. And since then age has processed them further, so to speak.

I can do it with my camera, but the photos aren't at my residence and it would be easier and less intrusive to use an iPhone. I do my own photos with my Pentax and macro lens.
