Is this still present in iOS 12?
There was tons of talk when iOS 11 came out that they were doing away with it yet it still exists.

Yep, will probably have to wait until iOS 13 (Redesign) for Apple to get rid of it.
 
Unfortunately it’s still there and probably will be for the rest of iOS 12. iOS 13 will hopefully do-away with it tho.
