iOS11 broke facetime on my iPad Pro

Am I the only one having this problem? iOS11 has completely broken my facetime app on iPad. It cannot multitask anymore; when i press the home button the square box becomes black and will not go away even when the other person hangs up. The only way I can get rid of it is by turning my device off. And now calls won't even go through. My girlfriend tried facetiming me numerous times and while they went through on my laptop and iPhone they did not go through on my iPad. In addition, when I tried calling her from my iPad she said it wouldn't let her connect. This is really frustrating and I was wondering if anyone else is having this problem?

Oh yeah, I've reported the same problem on my iPad Air 2 and there's nothing to get around it yet.

I've not had any problems on my 10.5 - I've been using Facetime daily with no issues at all

It's pretty frustrating, given this also happened on my wife's 2017 iPad.
I downgraded mine to 10.3.3 and it got back to normal.
I restored, deleted and installed the FaceTime app, but it didn't do nothing.

Oh yeah, I've reported the same problem on my iPad Air 2 and there's nothing to get around it yet.

Where'd you report the complaint on apple?

iOS 11.0.2 fixed the issue for our iPads.
