It *appears* that with B4, the iCloud syncing of iMessage is functioning. I was curious to hear if you are actually using it?

I get the whole syncing deleted messages and the value in it. Since I have an iPad, iPhone and two Mac's in the equation, I really like the Mac's "Close conversation". I'd rather not delete, but this allows me to "archive" the conversation without deletion. I'd rather keep the relevant conversations at the top of the list and "close" the irrelevant but still have the ability to reference (the full thread comes back with a new message) I do use delete for stuff like one time passwords and the sort..

Perhaps I should turn off the sync?

What's your strategy?

i can't load High Sierra because I can't risk my working getting screwed up. but my plan when I am fully upgraded, if I can, is to have sync turned on for my mobile devices but my Mac will not be activated for sync. that way its a full archive of all messages cause I do need to keep many of my threads but i don't need them 24/7
