I have been wireless charging my iPhoneX at night since I had it. It's been great.

I had been on the iOS11 Betas but changed to iOS12 two nights ago and ever since when I put my phone on the stand, it keeps going on and off. As if I am lifting the phone on and off the stand.

Every few seconds it does this. The screen lights up and it makes the usual sound but it doesn't charge.

    Is this an iOS12 issue?

Definitely not, might be an issue with your Wireless Charging module.

This used to happen in the very early builds of iOS 11 in September/October time. Software bugs I guess.

I tried the iPhone X on a different type of wireless charger and it did a similar thing. The screen didn't keep coming on, but the blue light on the charger would go on and off. It did actually complete a charge by morning,

Now with the latest beta iOS 12 build 16A5357b the iPhone will not work with many of my wireless charging pads any longer.

It seems to be an issue with triggering the charge cycle based upon field strength. My car charger will all of the sudden only work if my Apple leather case is removed. It had worked prior with the case on for the last year.

It no longer works with the charging pad we have in the living room but works in the bedroom... but now very sensitive to position in the pad.

This is definitely NOT a welcome development and must be fixed or taken out before release! Tired and aggravated by the constant bugs in released products. Difference between Apple beta and Apple release product is the calendar date!

I use several Belkin and Mophie wireless chargers with latest iOS 12 beta—no problems what so ever.

I tried a cheap crappy charger once and it acted as you describe (it was with iOS 11 though).

First things first, check whether your chargers are Qi certified:

    https://www.wirelesspowerconsortium.com/products/

Specifically, see the section called “Beware of misleading claims” and use the certified product database search to check.

If they aren’t Qi certified, they may not meet the spec and all bets are off regarding whether they’ll work or be supported in the future. There are a lot of cheap rubbishy chargers out there.

I'm having an issue with my iPhone X on latest iOS 12 Public Beta using Qi-certified Spigen wireless charger. I've had the iPhone X since day 1 and using this same wireless charger since then. Over this past weekend I updated to latest iOS 12 Public Beta and have been experiencing issues with wireless charging.

The light on the wireless charger will blink constantly (usually stays on when properly charging) but iPhone does not charge at all, even when left on overnight. I rebooted the phone and it did start charging but then has issues again when I tried to charge again at night.

Hoping these issues get cleared up with final release.

Its the beta. I've had that issue the past couple of beta releases. Had to reboot the phone to get the phone to pick wireless charging back up. Latest beta seems to have resolved the issue thus far.

Well final/GM iOS release didn’t help things for me. My phone will start charging when I set it on my wireless charger at night, then in the morning the phone is only partially charged with the charger blinking.

Anybody else continuing to have issues with wireless charging with with their iPhone X, or other models, after updating to iOS 12? I'm continuing to have the issue where my iPhone X will not charge on my Spigen Qi-certified charger. If I reboot the phone, it's able to charge wirelessly again but has the same issue again later.

If it works after a reboot, I wouldn't think that's a hardware issue, whether on the phone or charger side.

I did when I updated to ios12.01 and 12.1 did not help. Battery indicator would drop to nothing and phone reset constantly. Apple gave me a new phone yesterday. Diagnostics revealed issues with battery and wireless charging. I had a ton of ketnel panics on the thing. Definitely a hardware problem, but maybe something in the update set it off.
