Updating to iOS15 had me excited about the new Memories features.
Little did I know all the horror that would await, and that it would destroy the memories I spent a lot of time tweaking in the past...

Memories was one of my favorite features of the iPhone.

I could very put a bunch of clips and photos into an album and create a memory.

Apple did a decent job at picking out good photos and clips and then I just had to edit / tweak.

For example,

in Birthday party clips could select just a part of "happy birthday" song,

You could get only the part of the clip of blowing out candles...

iOS 15 is a huge downgrade to Memories. While I like I can add music, there was a stripdown of some major features.

Missing features:

-Can't auto-create a memory out of an album. You have to manually select photos and video clips. The AI is missing that used to get a 90% great video.

-Can't change clip duration (e.g. you cannot only select a portion of it)

-Can't change the volume on a clip (e.g. you want the "Happy Birthday" singing playing while the music softens)

-Can't add clips/photos to album and have them appear as options while you tweak the memory. For example, if someone sends me a photo to include in the memory video.
