IOS18.0 Public Beta - Contacts Search

Since installing IOS18.0 Public Beta, searching for Contacts does not work, either from within the Contacts app or by Siri.

Contacts are there, I can scroll though them.

iPhone 12 Pro Max

To no avail I have:
Uninstalled and reinstalled the Contacts app
Turned off and on Contacts in iCloud
Hard reset

After installing the Public Beta 2 update which arrived in the last hour this
problem is now resolved.
