My iPhone 15 hasn’t been indexed since 26.4 came out. The search function is inoperative.
I can’t search notes, photos, apps, messages, Apple Card transactions or the calendar. To start a new iMessage, I’ve got to scroll through hundreds of messages, or find the contact through the contact list. It’s pretty frustrating. I’ve attached a screenshot of what happens when I search for the letter “e” in notes- completely blank.
Within an app (as long as it’s not an Apple app, eg Gmail) the search works fine, but none of the native Apple apps are working.
I’ve done all the updates, reboots etc.
I’ve left it plugged in all night. Nothing seems to work.
The only thing I haven’t done (which I’m really hoping to avoid) is to reset all settings.
I installed 26.4 on my iPad on the same day, and no issues.
Can anyone offer some help with this problem?
