I updated my iphone to 4.0.x version. Now the phone turns itself on (while charging for 3 days - today at 12:00 24-hr). I was afraid to update it to 4.0.x and I was right in the end  . I'm afraid it will turn itself on in an airflight. Will :apple: compansate for the corpses of families on board the plane if it crashes because of this?

PS. Do not care about airplane mode because it's forbidden in my country to use any kind of electronic device (not limited to phones) during taxi, takeoff and landing.

And also a new timebomb for terrorists? Buy a ios4 3gs iphone, send it by luggage, it will turn itself on they had to just wait :) What the hell??

And pls help me...

I'm gonna say airplane mode anyway. Technically, even if your phone is on, you are not using it as you said ;)

In all seriousness, have you tried a software restore via iTunes?

As I know even in airplane mode, iphone keeps running in background. In airplanes even using a chronometer, or a camera is forbidden. They all need to be switched off in my country. And I believe they didn't make up these stories. In the end iphone entry to the plane might be forbidden if word spreads here, because you can't know if any of the passangers iphone might turn on during travel. :D

PS. I will try software restore right now.
