    Hi there.

This might be a stupid question, but one of the features I heard would come in iOS4 was a flashlight function built in. But for some reason, I can't find it.

I've heard that it can be accessed by pressing the power button 3 times, or through some button in the multitasking bar, but I can't seem to get it to work. Is there something I'm missing? A switch in settings?

I'm using the iPod Touch 3rd Gen 64GB.

You've been misinformed. There's no built-in "flashlight" functionality. Just turning on the screen is typically bright enough, I've found...

I thought that was an iPhone4 hardware only function. i.e it turns on the camera flash for use as a flashlight.

Oh, maybe that's what the OP is referring to! I honestly had no clue where the OP got the idea, but that makes more sense.
