Every time I access my 3GS since loading iOS4, I'm asked to enter a password, or userID and password, to access my voicemail. I've had the iPhone for about a year and never set up a voicemail password. Since I downloaded the update a couple of weeks ago, I haven't received a voicemail notification.:(

i had this problem on every single other firmware release with my 3g...fortunately, i did have a password so i got the notification to go away...but never understood why it kept popping up in the first place, as i wasnt trying to access it.

Thanks to all! Problem solved

Thank you. ATT rep, Charise, deleted, then reinstated, my account, then had me establish a password that was only required to get access to my voicemail the first time. After that, the password was no longer requested. Seems like a silly process, but it now works.:) Good luck to others with this issue.
