My iPhone has crashed whilst attempting the iOS4 update and now will not work at all. I have tried everything. Whenever I turn it on it says connect to iTunes. Whenever I do that iTunes says it is in recovery mode and must be updated. So I try to update it and iTunes says "The iPhone 'iPhone' could not be restored. An unknown error occurred (21)." My iPhone wasn't called simply 'iPhone' before and I cannot select a backup to restore from. The whole device seems kaput. The Apple site recognizes the error code but gives no method for resolving. Any help would be REALLY welcome.
