Finally we get some alert if our text messages dont send. Its a nice simple feature they should of had all along.

I usually keep my text box open until I see that the message was actually sent. But, this is a nice feature just in case.

Nope. But whenever I've had a text that didn't send, I got a warning about it.

The error used to only be in Messages.app. The badge is new to 4.0.

This is correct. I did see the error in the messages app but I'd never receive other notifications if there was an error.

what is that background? I dont' want a 'loud' and crazy background image that has a lot of stuff going on. That one is nice and simple.

I prefer the raindrops. But I'd like them better if they had the option to move.

Is that battery % indicator new, or is that jailbroken?

And technically it's "should have" not "should of".

That's been there since the iPhone 3GS came out, although that feature was never enabled in any previous iPhone.

This feature was introduced with the 3GS. The original iPhone and iPhone 3G don't have the percentage option.

I have the 3G (no iOS4), and I have never seen that badge for texts.

That's because that badge is never used in the messaging app in any version of iOS for any iOS device. I have no idea what those other posters are talking about.

Well, I've never seen it before. I think it's a nice new feature.
