I love how everyone was complaining when Apple said that multi-tasking was a bad idea. People said "screw you, you can't tell us what to do!". Apple said there was not an easy way to do it that wasn't complicated, and that it would ruin battery life.

Now that everyone has multi-tasking, all we hear about is how complicated it is and how much it drains the battery.

Well actually if you read the other posts for the end user its not complicated at all. As I have just found out the end user doesnt have to do anything for multitasking to work. It was the fact that misinformed people (myself included) were calling the 'recently used app list' the 'Multitask bar/strip' etc. That caused confusion on how multitasking actually works.

Just a heads up, it is a "multitask" bar in the sense that if you close an app out of the "multitask" bar, it loses it's saved state. I tried this with plants vs zombies and I lost my lost state.

Also, if you close pandora out of the bar, it will stop playing.

As more apps start to take advantage of the multitasking api's, this bar will become more and more useful for switching between "running" apps (note "running" is in quotes.

So, this isn't really just a "quick switch" bar as it were. You can manage your "running" apps if you want.
