iOS5 - "Other" over capacity

So basically after installing ios5 my 32gb iPhone that had about 5 gb free, is now showing 7.2gb overcapacity and refuses to sync because of the Goliath "other" category in the capacity bar, anyone else had this?

Yep, I had the same issue. You'll need to restore your iPhone from backup. Pain in the butt, yes, but it works.
