anyone know how to post a message directly to twitter from ios5? i figured out of course post a pic or location or even how to reply to someone but is their an easy way just to post a message?

You can't. They partnered with Twitter, use the Twitter app that you need in order to use the iOS 5 features.

not to be "one of those people" but what would be easier then taping the twitter icon
 
wow it was just a question. i found a workaround and it does work. if you have a contact set up with their twitter name in the proper field it replies to them directly from ios5 so you can just open that up and clear their @name.
 
Oh really? I thought tapping the twitter icon was the easiest way. If you needed some scotch tape to help you with your "taping" of the twitter icon, I'd be happy to lend you some.
