iOS6 and icloud Email Read Status

Can someone who is running the ios6 beta and icloud email tell me if the read status is synced to your iphone. If you read your email on iCloud.com, is the read status updated automatically on your iphone without going into the email app. I know it does not work on previous iOS software versions.
