I have a Pioneer head unit in my car (AVH 3200bt) and connect my iPhone4 via a dock connector for audio. The headunit will display playlists, albums, etc and the controls for the iPhone all work fine. Since upgrading to iOS6 I've noticed a lot of intermittent static during music playback. I reset the iPhone but continue to have the static. No problems with audio from the phone's speakers or to my iHome capsule speakers via the headphone out. I remember this was an issue with a previous iOS (4.0 I believe). Anyone having the same issue?

I too have had this issue since upgrading to IOS6 on my iPhone 4. I thought it might have been my dock cable as it looked to be separating from its housing but issue remains after replacing. I also have issues playing the podcast app in my car. The app often refuses to play through the dock at all and has to be reset many times.

Just got my iPhone 5 and tested it out with the head unit and the static is gone. Not sure if it is the Lightning connector or the combo of iOS6 with the iPhone 4.
