What a pointless topic to raise.
"I'm not going to upgrade to IOS 6 but I'm not going to tell you, it's a secret"
Keeping up to date on software / releases is always best even just to take advantage of improvements in security / performance / stability. You may but like the UI changes but it makes sense to keep moving forward.
I can't say. It keeps getting censored. I said this before and whenever I say the reason, they swoop in and lock the topic.
So now I have to be careful about how I say it because they're watching, and they don't want people to know. It's a conglomeration. And I'm really tired of it.

But I will say this: just because it's new doesn't mean it's better. We have seen this many times on many different OS's. Sometimes what you have is fine, and you can wait until the next release over. Sometimes it's fine to skip some releases.

Lol, are you serious?
Who are 'they' ?
That's completely your prerogative... I; on the the other hand, am already running a beta that (for me anyways) has been better than the final version of 5.1.1. Everything in iOS 6 seems polished and more refined. I say skip the release if that's what makes you happy.. I wish more people were like you; it might make it easier to download the final OS and not have the servers get bogged down![]()
It's not about that. It's about not being able to do what you once could do. Who downloads an update in order to be set back?
So far, with iOS6, I just have a list of things that I don't want on the device. And nothing that I actually to want. So for me iOS6 is like the unlucky version, the ugly duckling of iOS releases.
I'm with you OP. I always wear my tinfoil hat when browsing Macrumors. You can never be too safe.
