General ios6 to ios15 : transfer SMS?

hello

i found back few old iphone 3GS running ios6, that were used until three years ago. Problem, we would like to get back those SMS/text messages still stored within the device, to another recent iphone or android. we didnt found a solution for that, but we guess apple thought about transfer from oldies iphones to newer ones.
how could I grab back old sms from thos iphone 4/3GS to newer iphones?

Was the phone backed up to a computer while it was in use?

If so maybe you could use something like this to extract the data.

thank you for this proposal ; unfortunately this is not a free software (nor open source)) and i dont understand how i would exploit exported file, if the free version could do it..
