iOS7 and Exchange accounts => 8 hr battery

My battery life on my iphone 5 is horrible.

Background apps always off.
Location services are mostly off except what is necessary.
Notifications limited.
Brightness down low.

But one exchange account (down from two).

Messaging, emailing, browsing, and etc but nothing excessive. Some music streaming. No video or games.

Do other iOS7, iphone5, and exchange account (with push on) have such poor battery life (dead by 3pm after being charged at 8 am)?

Yeah, that's why I have it set to fetch every 15 minutes. If I use push, it kills battery.
