Has anyone else noticed that iOS8 installations get more buggy the longer you use them? Even 8.3 is starting to get a bit iffy on me now and it was previously by far the best version of iOS8 to date. I'm getting way more Safari 'the web page had to reload' occurrences and, for the first time with 8.3, neither my notification or control centres are available. This happened to me in 8.2 but this is the first time that neither can be accessed with 8.3
Android installations get 'iffy' after a while, as do Windows installs on a pc, but iOS installs have never previously deteriorated like this for me.

fine here. if ur using it, background refresh isnt something u want (or even need) enabled for speed & battery life regardless of device age

No. It's all in your mind.

+1

I agree. I've been using my iPhone 6 on 8.1.2 for a few months and it's jailbroken and mine runs great even when using themes and a few tweaks. Mine has 35gb used out of the 64 and its plugging along fine. My wife has a 6 also running on 8.3 and I've used it and I don't see hardly any difference in performance. Whenever I get the urge to update I use hers for about 5 minutes and then realize how much I would regret losing my jailbreak! :)

Well, my 6+ has been running 8.3 for approx 360 hours of actual usage time. All was well (ish) until a couple of days ago when bugs started creeping in that weren't there earlier. Same usage patterns, there has been nothing unusual to cause these bugs. More app crashes, more Safari crashes, frequent instances of the control/notification panels not being 'there' to pull up/down, WiFi dropouts, screen freezing and one complete auto reboot.

I use my 6+ for approx 10-15 hours per day (yes it gets hammered) and I can only assume that the sheer number of hours under the hood is the reason for the recent poor performance. Nothing whatsoever has changed apart from the duration the install has been up and running.

I thought it was just me lol, I restored today (set up as new, as I seem to have to once a month at least)

After I install I can go about 2 weeks without random crashes and jetsam entry's after those 2 weeks everything seems to start crashing last night I was on Facebook reading an article and Facebook crashed so I reopened it, scrolled to the same article started reading and it crashed again! This happened about 4 times (every time there was a jetsam entry) before I finally gave up and restored this morning.

After restoring I went to that same article and was able to read the whole thing! Tried to purposely make it crash keeping apps loaded in the background (which I never do, always close them when I am finished) scrolled up and down the page as fast as I could, closed it out and reopened it no matter what I did that app wouldn't crash again.

I don't think it's all in our head when it is happening right in front of our eyes.

Yes I reboot my phone daily, everything is turned off (background app refresh, location services, even went as far as Turing off auto set clock) never use Bluetooth only use one wifi connection LTE off etc etc.

I've had to restore iOS 8.0+ more times than all other iOS versions combined. And I've been using iOS since version 1. After a while things just go wrong. Not that I really care because 99% of my apps have their own backup system or Dropbox connectivity but it is annoying with the frequency that I have to restore.

Yeah I've noticed this as well. My friends complain about how their phone or iPad is acting weird and their jaws drop when I tell them they need to restore and set up as new.

I've had to restore my iPad and iPhone as new probably 5-10 times combined, annoying.

I have similar issues with my 6+.. Everything is fine for a few days then the bugs start showing up.. Also happened on my iPhone 6

Yes.

Every time you update from IOS 8 onwards, you have to do a reset and restore or it doesn't work properly. I did this for 8.3 also.

Ironically my iPad got the webpage reload bug x3 trying to loading this page

*iOS needs frequent clean installs*

Haven't needed that before or since iOS 8.
