The issue up until now has been that web view hasn't been allowed to store cookies for security reasons, so logins can't persist. The solution that Safari view controller brings to the table is to essentially pull the information from Safari.
In addition, when SVC is used, Safari Content (ads) Blocker will be used. This is nice for apps like Twitter, Flipboard, Facebook, Reeder and other RSS/news apps that frequently call in UIWebView.

Would be nice to track which ones have moved from the old UIWebView to SVC... mainly to find an RSS reader.

Good thread - can't wait for Reeder and Tweetbot to update to this.

I have started to allow both of the above to open full articles (etc.) in Safari and I then use the new 'back' button (on the top left) within Safari to pop back to the respective app. This works fairly well but it leaves tabs open in Safari which is a bit messy.
